Silver smithing workshop
Come learn the basics of silver smithing. This is a one on one or small group workshop.
In this workshop we will go over techniques of making a bezel, back plate, sawing, soldering, and finish work on a simple ring or small pendant. You will leave with a completed project and the knowledge to go home and continue making and growing.
Student stones and project silver included. If at the time of class you would like to upgrade to different stones you may at additional cost. If you choose to complete a bigger project, an additional silver charge will also be assessed. Feel free to bring your silver or stones. Stones must be flat backed and 3/4” or under.
Once you have paid for the class I will email you to schedule a day that fits into both our schedules. I will also send my address, safety procedures and stone opinions. I will also ask in the email if you want a starter silver smith package. Starter smith packages are a separate cost.
My silver shop is set up in a taxidermist studio, so there are harvested animals in and around our shop. It is very clean, but if you are bothered by deceased animals please let me know ahead of signing up and we will attempt to work around that!
Mostly this is a fun workshop, to learn a new skill to either continue on as a hobby, start a side hustle or grow a career out of.
